"คืนข้ามวัน (Happy New Year)" is a short film created in collaboration between the OVOC Thailand project (Our Voices, Our Choices), the Faculty of Information and Communication, and FilmSpace. It is supported by the EU (European Commission), Plan International, and the Phayao Foundation for Development.

Maejo University

"Happy New Year (คืนข้ามวัน)" received an Honorable Mention in the Ratana Pestonji Award category at the 28th Thai Short Film & Video Festival. The award announcement took place on December 22, 2024, at the Thai Film Archive (Public Organization).

The award was accepted by Chaweng Chaiyawan, a visiting lecturer and the film’s director, while Asst. Prof. Kringkarn Jaroenkul, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Educational Quality Assurance, attended as the film’s producer to congratulate the team.

The jury panel praised the film, stating:
"All three jurors were impressed by this film, which portrays a slice of ordinary life—moments from the lives of a small, seemingly insignificant group of people—with a gentle and empathetic perspective. The director employs a simple yet direct cinematic language, allowing the audience to genuinely feel the characters' real-life experiences, making the film feel truly alive."

On Monday, March 24, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication, Maejo University organized a Final Orientation for Cooperative Education and a Graduation Orientation for fourth-year undergraduate students majoring in Digital CommunicationThe event featured two distinguished alumni as guest speakers:Mr. Asda Likhitboonma (nicknamed “P’Tu”) from KamMuan Studio, a renowned film director best known for the blockbuster film “Term 3: The Parade Episode,” along with several other film and series projects.Mr. Witawat Phumpradit, a successful digital content creator who generates income through still images, graphics, motion content, and creative work published on Canva and TikTokBoth alumni shared their personal journeys, professional experiences, and insights to inspire and motivate the next generation of students in their academic and career paths. Faculty members and staff also participated in the event, attending student presentations on their cooperative education experiences and joining in the final send-off celebration.4o
