From October 22-26, 2024, Assistant Professor Dr. Napat Ruangnapakul, Associate Dean for Research, Academic Services, and International Relations of the Faculty of Information and Communication at Maejo University, was honored by Y&Archer to participate in the A-Stream 2024 conference in South Korea. This international conference focused on startups, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in collaboration with organizations across various regional industries. Dr. Napat also had the opportunity to present and discuss Maejo University’s innovations with private sector representatives from Japan and South Korea.

Y&Archer, designated by the Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups, fosters startups through partnerships with Korean government agencies, state-owned enterprises, and investors.

Additionally, at this event, there was a ceremony for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SPACE-F—the first incubator and accelerator program in Thailand for food technology startups—supported by the National Innovation Agency (NIA), Thai Union Group Public Company Limited, Mahidol University, and other leading agencies. This MoU with Y&Archer aims to cultivate and accelerate food technology startups into the global market and to stimulate the FoodTech startup ecosystem between Thailand and South Korea.

Following the conference, Dr. Napat explored innovation ecosystem development for student and academic entrepreneurship at Korea University. Dr. Napat also met with Professor Dr. Young Min Baek from the Department of Communication at Yonsei University.

On Monday, November 11, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication held the "2025 Annual Faculty of Information and Communication Implementation Plan Project." Associate Professor Dr. Somkiat Chaipiboon, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication, presided over the event, delivering policies, plans, and directions for the faculty's operations in 2025. The event was attended by faculty executives, professors, and staff members.Additionally, awards were presented to three outstanding support staff for 2024: Miss Piansawang Bucha received the Outstanding Administrative Support Staff Award, Miss Karat Thepsiri received the Outstanding Service Support Staff Award, and Miss Uracha Suwaphanit received the Outstanding Professional Support Staff Award. This event was held at Siripanna Villa Resort and Spa in Chiang Mai, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province.

Staff from the Faculty of Mass Communication at Chiang Mai University visited the Faculty of Information and Communication.

On October 30, 2024, staff from the Faculty of Mass Communication at Chiang Mai University visited the Faculty of Information and Communication at Maejo University. They were welcomed by Assistant Professor Kringkan Charoenkul, the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance. During their visit, the staff engaged in knowledge exchange regarding educational services and student affairs with the faculty personnel. They also toured various learning facilities, including the advanced film room, live streaming room, motion capture and VR room, and the photography studio.

The Faculty of Information and Communication participated in a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of Professor Dr. Wiphat Boonsri Wangsai at the Professor Dr. Wiphat Boonsri Wangsai Monument on “Wiphat Boonsri Wangsai Day.”

On October 30, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Professor Dr. Wiphat Boonsri Wangsai Monument on “Wiphat Boonsri Wangsai Day” to honor the legacy of Professor Dr. Wiphat Boonsri Wangsai. The ceremony was led by Assistant Dean for Administration and Strategy, Uthaiwan Sriwichai, along with faculty members and students, at the monument in front of the Maejo University Library.
