Mr. Ruici Tio, Regional Lead of Safety & Integrity Policy Programs at Meta Asia-Pacific Headquarters in Singapore, along with executives from Meta Platforms Inc. and Facebook Thailand, participated in an academic and research exchange on AI knowledge and digital citizenship with administrators and faculty members of the Faculty of Information and Communication on December 9, 2024.
The event was hosted by Assistant Professor Napath Rueangnapakul, Associate Dean for Research, Academic Services, and International Relations, and Ms. Uthaiwan Srivichai, Associate Dean for Administration and Strategic Planning. Faculty members and staff welcomed the delegation at Meeting Room IC 203, 2nd Floor, 75th Anniversary Building, Faculty of Information and Communication, Maejo University.
The discussion focused on digital skills development, the study and application of the "We Think Digital: AI Literacy" curriculum and teaching materials, as well as potential research projects to enhance students' digital citizenship skills. The meeting also explored opportunities for academic collaboration between Meta Platforms Inc. and Maejo University in developing essential digital skills for the younger generation, fostering growth in the modern digital ecosystem.
